I just finished a photo session for my mom’s birthday and I’m so happy with the results but especially with the kindness of the staff. When I got there one of the staff actually had an unexpected accident to where they had to leave but they were able to still find a way and make our session happen in a short span of time. Madeline helped coordinate that for us and made a beautiful sign for my mom’s shoot since I forgot our prop that I was supposed to bring. Our photographer, Chelsea was amazing. She made my mom feel comfortable and guided her every step of the way and was very encouraging throughout the shoot which helped my mom who is super shy. And I just love the outcome of the photos! They’re too nice 😍 I’m happy I came here for to mark my mom’s special occasion. I’ve been here before for passport photos but today was a great experience and we got high-quality results in a very efficient time span.

I got my headshot taken by Scarlett and had an amazing experience. She has a strong eye for detail and made sure I was incredibly comfortable throughout the whole shoot. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for professional pictures and will definitely be back again in the future!

Very bad customer service, I don’t recommend this place to anyone. I booked appointment for my 18 months old daughter and I for passport photo. The lady with black hair work as receptionist and photographer both. As respect, I was a bit early for my appointment. when I went in, she was on the phone, she was talking on the phone for a while and then start to talk with me. She has bad attitude when she talk to me. I feel like I have to beg her for taking photos. She told me 2 passport photos with 2 visa photos is $80 plus tax. It is quite expensive, but it is okay. After everything, I thought I can finally take photos now, then she told me, I need to wait another 10 to 7 mins. I got really mad, so I left. She has 0 respect to customers, and she doesn’t wanna take any customers. If I could 0, I would. I didn’t get her name, but I went in on Thursday, June21, 2023 and my appointment was at 11am. I hope the owner or the manager can see my message, so you know which lady I was talking about.

I had a professional shoot booked on Monday, and from the very beginning of my experience, Alan’s accommodation and responding to my emails was very prompt and helpful. When I got to the studio I was greeted by Anne-Marie who was super warm and friendly. I’m usually camera shy, but Alan and Anne-Marie made me feel extremely comfortable. This is easily the best experience I’ve ever had. Their dynamic and the atmosphere is very positive and easy to feel comfortable in. What is apparent is this studio's attention to detail. They go beyond to make certain the setting, personalities come out in the shoots. Alan has decades of experience and it shows. Alan Dean just doesn't take a shot. He takes pride and passion to the forefront.

Alan and Anne Marie are very knowledgeable and fun to work with. Knowledgeable and informative to the difference of taking a photo for keepsake or for a headshot to demonstrate what you could be for a casting director. After approximately 100+ shots outside it began to snow so Alan decided to stop and asked if I could return in a few days to complete the shoot at no charge. Alan has the best interest of the client and what the perfect shot means for the client. All agents preach the importance of headshots so find a professional photographer to take yours. Alan made the shoot great.

Robin did my grad photos for me and was incredibly kind and professional throughout. I was able to do a wide range of poses and use different props to ensure there was some variety, but none of the poses felt awkward or forced. Robin has a great sense of humour and I felt very at ease throughout the session. The proofs came incredibly fast (within hours of leaving the studio) and the retouched photos were delivered to me the same day I ordered them. And everything was priced very reasonably with a wide range of package options. I can't recommend Spencer Studios enough!!

I had an awesome time during my graduation shoot with Robin. He has a great way of making you feel comfortable and confident with yourself and your photos. My pictures turned out AMAZING and I couldn't be happier. Would definitely recommend!!

The staff are friendly and welcoming. They answered all my questions, showed me samples of their beautiful photography work. The staff listened to me as I was sharing my frustrations with them about the passport photos taken by Shoppers Drug Mart and how terrible and low/cheap quality they were by unprofessional Shoppers D M staff for $28.24 who made it their effort to make me feel unwelcome.
This place, Sooter's, costs are way lower than that and will give you beautiful photos. Upon hearing my experience, the gentleman at Sooter's empathized and offered to take new passport photos for me for free! That was so kind and thoughtful of him, I politely declined because I already used the photos. He went on to offer again so that I can show people how good their photos looked but I didn't want to take anything for free as I prefer to support their business, especially when they have beautiful souls like these two staff I met today. I will be going back again for a package deal for full body photographs. The work is truly beautiful and I can't imagine how good looking and stylish those pictures will be in my home.

Love this place, I've done both my passport pictures there and they came out so good. They do all the dimensions for non Canadian passports as well. The quality of the picture are top tier and don't have yellow look like the shoppers drugmart ones. Staff are very respectful and kind. 10/10 place recommended.

I got my passport photos taken here today and the service was so quick and easy! It is a very convenient location if you are going to Service Canada Centre as well! Big thanks to the photographer today for making it such a easy quick process as he saved me a trip from getting photos somewhere else that would have been an inconvenience for me. I rarely leave reviews, but in this case I thought my experience might be helpful to some who, like me, dislike the experience of having passport photos taken. I obtained a first set of passport pictures elsewhere; these pictures looked, for lack of a better word, downright awful. Luckily, in my search for a new photography studio, I stumbled upon Sooter's, and decided to visit their Nepean location. This was a completely different experience, and a completely different result. The photographer was so patient and professional. He listened to my requests, indulged me in taking multiple shots, and clearly took his time time to ensure excellent post-processing. The end result was simply on another level compared with the first studio. The difference in the quality of the lighting, for example, was particularly striking. I highly recommend this studio, and this location. Many thanks!

Union Eleven was great to work with right from the very start. Although there is no shortage of talented wedding photographers in Ottawa, what set them apart during our ‘search’ was their responsiveness to our questions and willingness to work with our not-so-ordinary schedule on our wedding day. The lead up to the wedding is a stressful time, but Union Eleven was asking all of the right questions about times, locations and people to ensure that they would be well prepared to capture our special day.

Derrick and Jessica are both super down to earth, and it was easy to get comfortable in front of the camera with them. Sometimes it’s hard to seem natural when you know you’re being photographed, but I can’t say enough about how easy it was to work with them.

The turnaround time to receive our photos was much faster than we anticipated, and we couldn’t be happier with the results!

We were married in early October 2020 in Ottawa and with upholding public health guidelines we wanted to balance having our close family and friends present for the ceremony- this is where Union Eleven came in with their live streaming services.
We were able to have both a small in-person ceremony and have an opportunity for our family and friends across the country to share in our special day. Union Eleven was able to live-stream using different vantage points and ensuring that our microphones were active/muted at appropriate times.
Andrew arrived early to the venue to allow for plenty of time for set up. I was glad to hear that I wouldn't need to wear a microphone with my dress and my husband's microphone would pick up normal talking volume with no issues.
I was extremely happy with the streamed content, and I have been able to download it as an amazing memento to watch again. I would definitely recommend this live streaming service to anyone planning their special day!

Hiring Union Eleven as our videographer was one of our best decisions for our wedding day! They were so easy to communicate with leading up to our wedding. We had the rainiest October day wedding on our family’s farm and they were so prepared for it all. The day of we barely knew they were there! They captured everything so so perfectly and we couldn’t have been happier with our videos. 100% recommend!

I originally booked Union Eleven before any other vendors for our wedding - even selected our date based off of when they were available. As a hobby photographer myself I was looking for a studio that didn't just take standard portraits, but one that had an artistic style, and focused on candid shots so we could best remember our wedding day. I also loved their editing style and how the colour in the photos is natural, and not too trendy and blown out.

Being delayed several times due to covid I was extremely impressed with how well the studio was able to work with us, and made the process as stress free as possible - which was so so helpful at the time.

We had Derrick shoot our wedding at our family cottage and could not have imagined a better person for the day. He fit in extremely well and did such a good job at making me and my husband (we are both camera shy) feel comfortable. We received so many compliments from our guests about how great he was, and we were laughing after about how many angles he was getting photos from - yet you never even noticed how much he must have been running around.

It goes without saying the photos were absolutely phenomenal. I am so impressed and happy we made the decision to go with Union Eleven. I would highly recommend this studio!! You will be in the best of hands.

I shot my first ever set of professional portraits with Jen, was very fresh to being in front of a photographers camera.

Jen not only made me feel welcome and comfortable on her set; she helped talk me through poses, went out of her way to learn what my favorite angles were, and did a great job at prompting me on what poses to take.

I'm still going through my image gallery, and am having such a hard time deciding which photos to pick because I love them all!

I first came across Laura's work about 5 years ago when searching for a wedding photographer. What caught my eye about her work was not only the lighting of the photos, which was bright and colourful, Laura didn't inhabit the same poses across all of her clients. Every couple was different. Laura also seemed just like one of the girls when I met her with two of my girlfriends. I could tell she would be fun to work with as well as be able to keep those difficult family members in check when needed. As we welcomed out newest addition to our household, we thought it would be great to have Laura come back to shoot our newborn lifestyle session. It was just an hour or so at our home a month after baby was born and it was completely easy. Laura was great to work with again and we absolutely loved the pictures. Her craft has only gotten better with time. I wholeheartedly recommend Laura as a wedding and/or newborn photographer.

Laura has been amazing from our first meeting (where she had written an adorable welcome sign for my fiancé and I), to our engagement shoot, all the way through to us changing the country that our wedding would take place in.

There were other photographers whose photos we liked, but after looking at what felt like hundreds of wedding photographers, we were both in agreement that Laura’s photos stood out from the rest. The comment that we both had was that her photos are not only beautiful, they are “genuine”. They show genuine emotions of the day and not only don’t feel staged or cookie cutter, but they really capture the emotion of the day. Although, our wedding day is not for a few months, I can say that after working with her for our engagement photos and seeing the final results, we were not disappointed. They are better than I expected and we even got a teaser within an hour of being home from the shoot!

Regardless of her clear technical ability, her personality and fun attitude is reason enough to work with her. If you follow Laura on social media (make sure you follow all three of her accounts), you know that while she takes her job seriously, she doesn’t take herself too seriously, which makes for a very comfortable environment.

Prior to our engagement shoot, my fiancé mentioned to me that the one part of our Wedding he was dreading was the photos. He was worried about feeling awkward, or not knowing what to do, but in the matter of one evening, he was asking when we could do another photoshoot. Nate did our wedding back in 2019 and he was AMAZING! He went above and beyond, got shots I never even thought of, even some sneak behind the scenes shots that have now become some of my most cherished. Both professional and very personable, he was like one of the family only super talented and not complaining about us not having an open bar!! Seriously though, he was virtually invisible when he needed to be while also being right there the moment you needed him and, considering our wedding was just before a cross-country move AND Covid, the pictures of all our friends and family together, hugging, celebrating and enjoying our day are priceless. I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone who will listen!! :)
